Project Description

MetaFund used $8 million of its New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) allocation provided by the CDFI Fund to support Kiamichi Family Medical Center toward the rebuilding of their Idabel, Oklahoma, clinic, which was destroyed by a tornado in 2022, and the development of a new clinic in Hugo, Oklahoma. Kiamichi Family Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Medically Underserved Areas throughout southeastern Oklahoma.

NMTC financing was used to make some much needed improvements to a YMCA facility including to the pool, gym, adding air conditioning to the building.
