Lauderdale Community Hospital will construct a new, state of the art facility to replace an obsolete hospital in rural Ripley, Tennessee. The project will provide significantly improved facilities for patients and staff with the latest medical equipment, plus a significantly more efficient layout. More than $22MM is being invested in the facility to improve and expand services including: Emergency Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab, Surgery Services, Radiology, Laboratory, Physical Rehabilitation, Acute Care, and Respiratory Therapy. The Project will retain 95 existing jobs and create 25 new jobs, 50% of which will be accessible to residents of the low income community and 100% of which will be quality jobs. The jobs will have an average hourly wage of $25.95 and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401k, access to additional onsite training and tuition reimbursement. The Project is expected to serve 50,000 patients per year with approximately 31,500 of those visits being from low-income persons.
