Project Description

The Mountain Park Health Center – Baseline Campus (“MPHC”), utilized New Markets Tax Credits for the renovation of a 21,000 sq. ft. three-story building in order to expand an existing health clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, MPHC operates a health care clinic in Phoenix located on the Baseline campus. The Project will allow MPHC to expand the clinic and deliver more care to additional patients. The expansion will allow MPHC to serve 20,000 additional patient visits annually, with the majority of patients being residents of the surrounding community. Located in a severely disinvested area where the poverty rate is 24.4 % and the median family income is 64.3% of the area median income for the Phoenix MSA ($64,201). The Project is anticipated to create at least 51 permanent, quality jobs, as well as 50 construction jobs. Absent New Markets Tax Credits, MPHC would not be able to proceed with the expansion and development of the clinic at a scope that would maximize the increase in people served in the low-income community and provide individuals needed access to affordable medical services. Dudley Ventures, through its affiliate DV Advisory Services, LLC, provided structuring, advisory services and closing execution.
