Project Description

The project is the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the basement, first floor, and mezzanine of the historic Crowley Block building in downtown Lewistown, MT. One Health, a partnership of community health centers serving Central and Eastern Montana and based in Hardin, MT, is developing and will operate a medical and dental clinic and pharmacy in the basement and 1st floor. The project will allow One Health to introduce new services not previously offered in Lewistown, dramatically expand access to existing services, and centralize administrative operations, resulting in increased efficiencies and an improved patient experience.

Acquired by the One Health group in November 2018, Central Montana Community Health Center (CMCHC) is a small rural health clinic currently located on the edge of downtown Lewistown, a medically underserved area. The health clinic offers primary care, behavioral health, and obstetrics services for Lewistown (pop. 6,000) and the surrounding communities in Fergus County.

When it relocates to the Crowley Block building, it will triple its current sq. ft. and provide the following community benefits New Dental Service Line. The new site will include up to 4 dental operatories and will support up to 2 dentists, 4 dental assistants, and 1 dental hygienist. Within seven years, CMHC anticipates 4,800 visits annually for approximately 2,400 dental patients.

New On-site Pharmacy: The new pharmacy will employ 1 pharmacist, 2 pharmacy technicians, and 2 pharmacy assistants. Within 7 years, CMCHC anticipate serving over 3,300 patients with their pharmacy services. Expanded Care: The new site allows CMCHC to expand current primary care, obstetrics and behavioral health services for an additional 1,700 patients within 5 years.
