The Village Pomona “The project”, will entail the renovation and repurposing of the historic, 59,577 sq. ft., former YMCA Building in downtown Pomona. The vision of The Village Pomona, and its sponsor Ray Adamyk, is to create a home for a diverse variety of mission-aligned, community-oriented organizations dedicated to providing a safe and educational environment for this severely distressed low-income community’s at-risk youth. The project will work to foster healthy lifestyles and prevent substance abuse while also promoting entrepreneurial behavior among young students. The Village Pomona will also serve as the new corporate headquarters for The Spectra Company (www.spectracompany.com), a well-established, historic contractor owned and operated by The project sponsor, Ray Adamyk. Other tenants will include Homes of Promise (HoP), a local substance abuse recovery-based nonprofit operated by Mr. Adamyk; The Village Pomona, Mr. Adamyk’ s nonprofit dedicated to youth leadership and arts education; Just Us 4 Youth, a local group mentoring urban/at-risk youth; Servant Partners, dedicated towards supporting the urban poor internationally; Humanity Church in Pomona; Leadership USA, a faith-based organization promoting leadership development for local adolescents; Heart 2 Serve, assisting parolees and the displaced back into society; Girls Fly, a mentoring group for adolescent young women; IMentor Barber Shops; Iron and Kin-a local café/grill, event center; co-working space; and other retail tenants. The QALICB, Ray Holdings, LLC, will be a California limited liability company owned and controlled by Ray Adamyk, which in developing this property will also apply for and monetize Historic Tax Credits (HTC) with US Bank.
