Project Description

Built in 1937, 550 Cookman Avenue is a shining example of Asbury Park’s art deco history. NMTC financing supported restoreation of this unique building, with careful consideration taken with its original design features such as the clock tower, chandeliers, terrazzo flooring, marble wainscoting, and decorative coin patterns on the facade. Fully restored, the building now holds eight storefronts and 31 residential units. All residential units have outdoor space and are either one or two bedroom duplexes or three-bedroom triplexes. Modern amenities—including a gym, laundry room, and elevator—are nestled into the historic detailing of the building.
