Project Description

Construction and build-out of a new 40,200 sq. ft. health clinic with 27 exam rooms, new behavioral health and addiction-related treatment spaces, a community pharmacy, and a computer room to support digital literacy programs. The Project will allow FHCHC to increase its reach, serving an estimated 18,400 unique low-income patients each year in an area that is Medically Underserved. Fair Haven Community Health Center (FHCHC) has served the New Haven community since 1971. Through a system of multiple clinics and school-based health centers, FHCHC provides comprehensive primary medical care, behavioral health, dental, and substance abuse treatment services to all, regardless of their ability to pay. FHCHC has been recognized in the top 2% of FQHCs nationally for their behavioral health services. The behavioral health department at the new facility will serve patients of all ages, treating conditions such as depression, post-traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse.
