Project Description

One of five small loans in the amount of $2 million or less to: (i) finance the construction and renovation of five ALDI food stores in various regions of New York State; (ii) purchase equipment for the new stores; and (iii) pay related costs. The five stores is located in Ilion, Massena, Gates, Harlem and Rego Park. An official of Bergmann, the engineer firm that worked on the new Massena store, told village Planning Board members in May that the new store would be 19,455 sq. ft.. That’s about 5,000 sq. ft. larger than the Smith Road location. It also features a new look that Aldi officials have been incorporating into their new stores, with open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.
