Project Description

Creative office space inside a historic factory in Portland’s Central Eastside: Beam Development completed the renovation of the historic B&O Warehouse in 2007, transforming this full city-block grain repository into a dynamic hive of creative office and ground floor retail spaces. The large concrete structural bays are perforated by four light-filled interior courtyards, that provide expansive interior meeting-spaces. Conveniently located between the Morrison and Burnside bridgeheads, the renamed Olympic Mills Commerce Center contributed to the first generation of redevelopment in Portland’s CEID.

The project showcased how thoughtful design and creative leasing could spur economic development and business incubation in an emerging neighborhood. The consistently high occupancy rates and strong rents at the OMCC confirm that the CEID is one of the City’s most desirable creative office districts.
