Construction of a four-story, 66,596 sq. ft. campus to serve the needs of homeless youth ages 15-24 in metropolitan Denver. The “Mothership”, as it has been called, will replace Urban Peak’s aging and overcrowded shelter, replacing it with a vibrant, campus-like atmosphere. For more than 30 years, Urban Peak has been the only organization in the city of Denver to provide a comprehensive suite of supportive services for youth ages 15-24 who are experiencing homelessness. By combining shelter, transitional housing, and wrap-around services guided by talented caseworkers, the organization is making a measured impact in the lives of this vulnerable population.
The campus will offer 136 beds and is expected to serve 600 unique youth accessing shelter each year- an increase of 106%. All beds in the building will be focused on low barrier accessibility (100% of the beds are affordable to households at 30% of AMI).
