I have been working with NMTCs since 2014 and have personally seen how this critical financing tool has helped organizations begin new businesses, stabilize struggling existing businesses, and create opportunity and jobs when and where the challenges were the most formidable. The projects I have worked with in rural and urban areas have genuinely helped people from low-income communities and have made real, durable impacts in closing the income inequality gap that is pervasive.
