Project Description

The Bedford Union Armory involves the redevelopment of the historic Bedford-Union Armory located in the Crown Heights community in Brooklyn. The Project provided 25,000 sq. ft. in community space including a federally qualified healthcare center, affordable office space for nonprofit organizations, and flexible new space to host community events. The new recreation space offer affordable athletic and fitness resources for local families including basketball courts, a multi-sport court and swimming pool. The Project is part of a 550,000 sq. ft. real estate development featuring 415 units of quality mixed-income housing, 60% were set aside as affordable. A portion of the housing units were set aside for formerly homeless residents of New York.
