The NMTC Program has a proven track record of success in spurring investment in low-income communities. These investments catalyze job creation and community services that directly increase tax revenue in much-needed areas. As such, it fosters essential economic growth with minimal government funding (on average $1 of tax credits generates $7 of private investment). In the spirit of government efficiency, this program provides the tools necessary to help both low-income communities and individuals become self-sufficient and rely less on government aid while simultaneously promoting development in the private sector.
